Us Highway 316 turned into the “Moki Dugway”, a crazy gravel road switch backing straight up a mountain face which, when climbed, offered amazing views in total, wonderful silence….
The US is incredible. Everything from tall mountains to places below sea level that are scorching hot. Woodlands, creeks, and redrock desert. I need a road run!
Thanks for the photos, Mike. It’s been 30 years since I drove through Utah.
Heading West 🙂
I love the wildly contrasting landscapes this world offers… I’ve spent a bit of time in Utah, it’s quite stunning. Beautiful images, Mike!
I’m glad you have experienced that stunning landscape too Karen 🙂

You are spot on Emilie, the US is incredible and I love it!
The views are beautiful from up there!
They sure are Terry, we were truly awestruck!
I think those amazing rock formations in Utah have been used many times for jigsaw puzzle scenes.
That’d make one hell of a tricky jigsaw!
They do. That’s why they use them. All those rocks can look the same on little puzzle pieces. I remember doing them when I was a kid.
Ahh, the red rock wonder of Utah! I’m thinking this road trip may be giving you some material for new songs Mike. 🙂
I really hope so LuAnn!
There’s some crazy roads out there! And beautiful, wide open country. Great photos Mike. Even the clouds cooperated.
Thanks Pat, it truly was an amazing experience
What a great experience, Mike. Amazing pictures indeed ❤
Thank you Hanna, it really was wonderful I’m very lucky 🙂
Yes you are ❤
That sort of silence is, indeed, wonderful.
Silence like that feels almost too heavy if that makes any sense, and painful to leave
That’s about it!
