You kind of have to walk along these paths don’t you?

This is an ancient Welsh drovers road that was used for thousands of years to travel from Cardigan in the west to Shrewsbury in the east….

Ornamental garden path…..

Gold miners track……

Would love to walk on these paths. 🙂
Very nice Mike…thanks for posting. What really awes me is that one path, the “drovers” path that has been in use for thousands of years — fantastic that your country has such an ancient heritage! SO glad that these paths that you posted have not been paved over in the name of “progress”!
I know! The drovers path is pretty cool. When walking it you can imagine how people hundreds of years ago would have travelled relatively quietly, taking days to complete journeys that would take hours or minutes today. They probably had a hard life though so I mustn’t romanticise it too much! Thanks for commenting 🙂
Very beautiful photos! Sometimes I get ‘paths’ as a search term in my WordPress stats – just the single word! I should send my searchers over to you!
Thanks Elke – send them over, the more the merrier! 🙂
And what do we sing and hum as we walk along? 🙂
Good question, all depends, how about you?
Usually an old hymn because that’s about all I can remember by heart!
