What a gorgeous image Mike! It is never fun to encounter a lightning storm while on the trail. We did so hiking the tallest peak in AZ several years ago and found many women whose hair was literally standing on end with all the static electricity in the air. We couldn’t get down off the mountain fast enough.

Yes it does concentrate the mind doesn’t it! We were lucky because the storm passed us by but left some lovely colours to photograph 🙂
