My new single ‘i can help’ is out today! The cover is a photo I took of some graffiti at a train station in Portugal. It reminded me of Minsky, the alien robot from season 3 of Fargo, who roams the Earth for centuries, only ever saying ‘I can help’—but is always ignored and abused amidst the chaos of human history.
Recorded on a fabulous little Taylor Academy nylon-string guitar, with a single studio mic and blended Strymon Cloudburst and BigSky pedal reverbs to create the space and emotion I was looking for.

Cyfnos is a Welsh word for twilight or dusk. In this acoustic guitar recording I’ve tried to capture the sense of intimacy and belonging inspired by the cover picture, which I took of a moonrise on a calm, cool evening on the west coast of Wales. Releases on 2nd February 2024 wherever you get your music.

I took the cover photo whilst sitting in the morning sun next to the River Seine in France. Later it made me think of Virginia Woolf (look her up if you don’t know why and are curious), and so I named this song after the film starring Nicole Kidman, who gave an amazing performance.
